2018 Queen Announced

The Jurupa Valley Pro Rodeo Committee is pleased to introduce Alondra Sosa. Alondra is currently a "lady in waiting" to Queen Danielle Palmer. As Danielle continues to serve out her reign as current Jurupa Valley Pro Rodeo Queen, Alondra will be preparing to take over the duties of JVPR Queen when she is crowned at the rodeo on June 1st. As described by her Mom, "Deep within the hardcore, rustic demeanor, lies a beautiful and spontaneous young lady." Alondra is 17 and currently lives in Norco, Ca, otherwise known as HorseTown, U.S.A., although she was born and raised in Jurupa Valley. She is a junior at Cornelia Connelly High School. Having been riding in Norco since she was 4 years old, she has engaged in many horse related activities, including gymkhana, barrel racing and pole bending. Currently a member of the new drill team "The Norco Sweethearts" she has been in the Rose Parade 2 years in a row and was recently featured, with the drill team, in the movie, "A Cowgirl's Story." To Alondra, Rodeo is her life. As she awaits her turn at representing Jurupa Valley, Alondra wants to thank everyone who has given of their time to help get her to this place in time. She is honored to have the opportunity to represent Jurupa Valley as the next JVPR Queen.
